Umpire Certification Clinics


WHAT CLINIC SHOULD I REGISTER FOR?

Level 1 Certification = brand new to umpiring. option to select the L1 & L2 combined clinics, combine in-theory and mechanics or complete separately pending availability. 

Level 2 Certification = at least one full season of umpiring.  Preferable to be 16 years of age

Level 1/2 Refresher = returning Umpires but is geared toward the newer umpires between certifications 1 and 2

Level 3 Certification = Closed for 2025

 

All In-Person clinics available are listed below, please find your corresponding clinic required for this season. If there are no in-person theory clinics you can attend, please scroll further to find the online listed theory clinics offered per month.

All Umpires must register for the season by logging into the RAMP registration system and selecting the required clinic. Should you have any questions about what is required or available, reach out to your District's Umpire in Chief, contact listed here

 

 

NEWS FOR THE 2025 SEASON

1. Theory certification training is available online via zoom! In order to be fully certified in the theory portion of Umpire training, all 5 sessions must be completed. Each session is an hour long and after session 1 is completed, sessions 2-5 can be competed in any order.    Mechanics sessions must be completed in combination with online theory sessions. 

2. Level 3 clinic is being hosted! Closed for 2025.

Level 1 Online Recorded Theory - Complete all of the following:

Step 1: Watch the Level 1 - Session 1 - 5 Recordings

Step 2: Complete the National online exam, choose the "2025 Softball BC Level 1 Exam"

Step 3: Complete an in-person mechanics clinic (or contact your local DUIC if no clinics are available)
