2026 Application to Umpire Canadian & Western Canadian Championships

Application Requirements

• Must have received a written evaluation during the 2023, 2024, or 2025 season.
• If your evaluation was from a non-Provincial, Western, or Canadian Championship, submit it with your application (upload at the bottom of the form or email to sbcumpires@gmail.com).

Eligibility

• Canadian Championship (Primary Selection):
  • Full Level III official for U15-U20 (all gender levels).
  • Level 4T candidates may be awarded full Level IV at:
    • U19 Women’s Fastpitch
    • U20 Men’s Fastpitch
    • Women’s SloPitch
  • U23, Men’s, Women’s, Master Men’s Fastpitch & Men’s SloPitch: Must be minimum full Level IV.
• Western Canadian (Secondary Selection):
  • Level II applicants may be considered for U15-U17 Championships.

Fitness Testing (if applying for Level IV or V events)

• Fitness standards set by Softball Canada & WBSC must be submitted.
• Send results to Jason Ranchoux before 11:59 PM, January 15, 2026.

Key Dates

• Application Deadline: 11:59 PM, January 15, 2026
• Notification of Selection: By March 1, 2026
• Fill-in Assignments: May be announced mid-June or later

Uniform Requirement

Umpires selected for WCSA Championships must have the full Softball Canada uniform.
